Description

A Premier Ag Internship is intended to provide a top educational experience with practical skills development and application. It is a unique learning opportunity in a fast-paced team-oriented environment where successful candidates will receive the training they need and are given the opportunity to apply what they have learned.

 

Premier Ag Agronomy Internship Objectives

  1. Attract top talent to Premier Ag
  2. Assess Intern’s potential to be a future Premier Ag employee throughout the 12-week period.
  3. Provide challenging, professional, Intern skill development
  4. Identify a Summer Project interest if applicable.
  5. A Premier Ag Internship is not intended to secure temporary labor, its full intent is to provide a top education experience with skill development to college recruits with the expectation that the intern will develop a desire to work for Premier Ag in the future if they meet Premier Ag employment standards.

Requirements

Intern Responsibilities

  1. Share learning interests or special project interests to manager.
  2. Provide feedback to manager for Mid-Summer Evaluation
  3. Send weekly email updates to the manager.
  4. Complete or hand off any projects by August 1st
  5. Any project presentations should be about what they learned in conducting, researching, and implementing their project.

 

Manager Responsibilities

  1. Mentor and develop talent over summer.
  2. Conduct frequent touchpoints through the week
  3. Proactive Communication
  4. Establish intern project (if applicable) by March 1st.
  5. Conduct mid-summer evaluation
  6. Conduct final evaluation after project presentation.

The Premier Ag Agronomy Interns will report directly to Emily Welch, Account Manager/Intern Program Manager
