Duration: Paid Internship from May – August 2025.

Housing: Furnished housing or stipend provided.

Purpose and Scope

This position is responsible for implementing learned knowledge to assist in various agronomic activities.  This position is responsible for developing and executing on an agronomy project. Additionally, this position is expected to assist in performing other agronomic functions as requested.  This position is authorized to perform the steps necessary to ensure that its responsibilities are met.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attend and master Beck’s Sales Intern training program.
  • Receive new employee training, agronomic training, and sales training with a good learning attitude.
  • Implement training knowledge to accomplish duties assigned by Regional Agronomy Manager.
  • Represent Beck’s with a positive attitude at all events and activities.
  • Assist and support Field Agronomist.
  • Assist Field Agronomist with designated agronomic testing, training, and sales projects as determined by the Regional Agronomy Manager.
  • Provide field scouting services as assigned.
  • Develop and complete an internship special project as approved by the Intern Program Manager, and Regional Agronomy Manager.
  • Present findings and conclusions of special project to assigned Beck’s staff.
  • Report all internship activity to the Regional Agronomy Manager as required.
  • Perform other related duties as may be required by the Regional Agronomy Manager, Field Agronomist or Intern Program Manager.

 

 Job Requirements

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current junior or senior in college enrolled in Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to establish priorities, works both independently and as a team member, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
  • Basic computer and current software skills.
  • Basic understanding of agriculture industry and agronomics

Physical demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.

Experience:

  • Past work experience in agricultural related field or farming.
